Unlike instinct, which we’ve already defined as hardwired and requiring little or no thought, insight is formed. There are two primary keys to insight:(1) time and a quiet mind, and(2) the ability to unfocus on the problem.

When we perceive danger or a threat, and we need to act instantaneously, instinct kicks in. Instinct is the master of self-preservation. It is primal.
